Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris which is the first of the Sookie Stackhouse novels, which is what the HBO series True Blood is based on.  The show was pretty bad ass so I thought I'd give the books a try.  Pretty good stuff.

That is the best collection I own. And you'll be pleased to know they get continuosly better after the second book. Also if you love them you might want to track own an action/comedy book: Gil's All Fright Diner, the author's style reminded me a lot of Charlaine Harris.

Pretty sure Watchmen is the dictionary definition of "Epic Win." I've been passing it along to all my friends lately, and have been hoping to start a Cult of Watchmen. And I actually think the movie CAN be good. An article in Wizard, an interview with director Zack Snyder, shows that the only reason he took on the job was because they were planning to butcher it. Hopefully he understands just how "sacred" it is to fans. I think he will.

Also, just finished reading the novelization of Crisis on Infinite Earths by Marv Wolfman. I accidentally bought the novel instead of the graphic novel. That's being shipped to me in Israel sometime in the next month, along with Identity Crisis, Infinite Crisis, and a crapload of comics, all Marvel. These were my only recent forays into the DCU.

Also, I just started The Icewind Dale Trilogy by R.A. Salvatore. Picked it up, in English, in a random israeli bookstore, thought why not, eh? 1000+ pages of fantasy goodness.

I just picked up Death of Captain America : The man who bought america , hardcover. Bucky Cap is just awsome.
