My all time favorite PC game was the Ultima Series.  My favorite MMORPG has to be Ultima Online.  I mean come one, it was cool before cool was even a word (lol).  I was on the beta testing for it WWWWWAAAAAAAYYYYYY back in the day.

Seeing as I'm not a big PC gamer, I'd have to say Counter Strike (Source? [as in, don't know if it's also called CS Source]) since it was so much fun when I played it in my Computer Science class in high school with everyone else in the class (the class was being moved to "portables": aka. temporary classrooms that barely had electricity and no computers). Though I do have City of Villians in my possession and have heard very good reviews from others, but have yet to play it because I want to be able to devote all of the time possible for the free trial subscription included.

Whew ... I don't even know where to start ... from RPG's like Betrayal at Krondor to Gothic 2 to Baldur's Gate and shooters from Castle Wolfenstein to Duke 3D to Jedi Knight 2 to strategy games like Heroes of Might & Magic to Civilization to ... who the heck even knows ...

PC gaming is my gaming LIFE ... choosing one?  Can't do it.

At least try to pick one Wink

To date:  Portal (that may change when I get my new rig and catch up on my PC games)

So hard to choose.....even though Planescape to me represents the pinnacle of PC RPG storytelling I had much more fun with Fallout 2, but the Longest Journey had me laughing more than the Monkey Island series.

Wow, guess I will just say....umm....Look over there!

The Diablo series was the first game that really jumped out at me.  It was the game that inspired me to give fantasy another chance.

Other than that, I was obsessed with the original MDK.  I even bought Billyzekick's album on a two-week exchange trip to France.

Touche'  Wink

In terms of number of hours and replays, I would have to go with Jedi Knight II ... I have played it more than 35 times from start to finish, and more than 50 times I've played at least a chunk of it.

But in terms of loving a game, I might also go with Gothic II ... great RPG that I have played a number of times as well despite the length.

Zork Grand Inquisitor, Rise of the Triad and Red Alert 1 (Dune 2 sucked). Wolfenstein  3D, Jazz Jackrabbit 1 and Duke Nukem 1 rank up there too.

The Thief series would have to be my all time favorite, especially the first one.

I've also enjoyed the the Jedi Knight series, the first 2 Tomb Raider games, Shogo, Undying, The Red Alert series, Prey, the list is endless...

LotRO is without a doubt my Fave PC game ever.

GW was also very decent.  I'm now addicted to Xbox and F/)3 owns every game ever thought of ... but I've heard it's even better on PC.  Might have to try it.

Close Combat: A Bridge too far

Doubt many of you have heard of the series. Was a kickass RTS series durring the mid 90's that focused on World War II. Many things made this series unique at the time such as it's psychlogical influenced units. Instead of blindly following orders they actually had minds of their owns to a degree. If issued an obviously suicidal order they would ignore it, and if you put a soldier in harms way too much they might surrender or panic and flee the battle. Each soldier had their own psychological profile generated for them. Another cool thing is your basically ranked on how close to history the events play out. You can play as either the Germans or the Allies.

Bridge Too Far was the second game in the series and focused on Operation Market Garden, which was a a failed Ally operation intended to speed the advancement of troops following D-Day by air dropping units behind enemy lines to secure bridges and roads along the intended route.

Gamespy ranked it as the #7  RTS game of all time.
