I know nothing about the PS3's trophies, so what does your "level" mean?

It's your Sony fanboy level.

Update: Fallout 3 has trophies! Too bad they're not retroactive,i've logged a 100+ hours on the game already.Time to play the "dark side" Devil Worst of all,I just recieved Gears 2,and going to recieve Far Cry 2,Mirrors Edge,Dead Space amongst the trophy games.Gonna be a fun Christmas.

I'll just have to break your hands so that you cannot surpass me

I think my hands will be broken after trying to complete the games.Sadly,Cheeze is correct, but I think he's just jealous of our shiny,awesome,PS3 trophies and suped up power lvls :)

I-Weapon-X:

each trophy is worth a certain amount of experience that contributes to your level

a full bar indicates that you are about to meet the experience requirements for the next level

it's playstation 3 the RPG essentially

Thank God the 360 doesn't do a level system with achievements, or else they would be even more crack-like.

How bout DLC for the PS3! I think I really stopped playing Oblivion cause it pissed me off that 360 owners got to put armor on their horses lol.

i prefer to think of it as a loss of productivity multiplier. since i average about 3 hours a day playing my ps3 and 24 divided by three is 8. i then multiple by my trophy level which is 6 in my case and then works out to 48. i then subtract 8 for the number of hours i work in a normal day as well as 6 for the average number of hours i sleep in a night which makes it 34. i subtract a bonus 16 for my weekend leisure time making it 18. then multiply by 1.5 because my gaming annoys my wife about half  of the time which brings me to 27.  meaning if i didn't have that trophy level of 6 then i would have been 27% more productive in the real world.

Congrats on hitting lvl 9 fanboy.  Did you get any attribute points, or just some extra skill points to allot?
