Does anyone have this game yet? If so how do you like it. I really liked socom 2 not so much socom 3 but how would i like this game. I like halo gears of war, and COD 4.

got the game but the servers are sucking rightnow; only played like two rounds out of like 2 hours of trying lol. I do have to say when it works socom is a solid game. There are two camera modes one is the socom classic another is the GRAW over shoulder-view. You can tilt your controller to lean left/right to shoot which i thought is pretty cool. most weapons have two add-on slots and you get two additional slots for grenade/items etc. You also get to change armors and there are different protection levels. There are faction specific weapons and you can get them by joining/forming clans with that nation's special forces. the pre-game lobby is shitty compared with rb6/COD4 but if you can ignore that and pray the servers are working the actual gameplay is really fun.

If anyone wanna play socom and gonna communicate my tag is gatorade848. I am still customizing the controls and praying for working servers

COD4 servers weren't that bad from what I've seen on the PS3. On the 360, COD4's servers are have way less lag. I had problems with Warhawk's lobby when I first bought it but I heard it was supposedly fixed. I only get on Warhawk when I get an invite so I haven't played it in a while. The last time I got online, I didnt' have any problems at all.

This is the same reveiw I did from another thread:

I picked up the game on launch day and as with any launch title, there is bound to be a long line. Well this one wasn't in the stores, it was online while trying to update. I was downloading and updating for at least an hour before I got online to play my first match.

Graphics: 4/5 The game looks just like the other Socom titles (I have all of them) just with slightly better graphics. I was kind of expecting more out of the graphics but its not bad.

Sound: 5/5 The surround sound is pretty nice. The developer's put a lot of emphasis on sound, like using real gun sound effects and how far away the shots sound.

Gameplay: 4/5 I was hoping for an upgrade on the control scheme and gameplay but I still see everyone strafing left and right about 5 ft from each other while spraying and praying like all the other Socom titles. Playing as a team is fun but not much has changed from the Socom formula. Its apples and oranges compared to Call of Duty 4 but I don't think this game will accomidate the more of the general audience as COD4 did. This is more for the Socom fans.

I still think that the developers could've came out with a campaign mode. I would expect that when a game is upgraded to a next gen console, it would be massively upgraded all around since there are less limitations. Not this one and thats where I was left disappointed. The online play is not bad but I think there could've been more done. For example, the trophy support wasn't even finished and its falsely advertised on the box. Not that I care about the trophies, its more about an unfinished product.
