Hi fellow Goozers,
I decided to start up an Xbox Live MVP night on Mondays @ 10pm EST (to 11pm). We'll play a variety of maps, game types, and if available, restrict weapons.
We started last night with Call of Duty 4. We didn't have enough players, so I hope the word gets around on this. We were close, at 6 players. Congrats to Christian691, who decisively won by winning 3/5 rounds (he tied with Str3tch on one of them).
It went down like this:
Round 1: Free For All, Old School Christian691 (followed by Berzerker)
Round 2: Team Death Match, Normal Christian691 & Str3tch tied for first (followed by Duddy)
Round 3: Team Death Match, Hardcore Christian691 (followed by Cyco2oo3)
Round 4: Free For All, Hardcore Berzerker (followed by Str3tch) (turned into a RPG/Grenade fight . . . INSANE!) We had so much fun with it, that we decided after the knife fight, to have an all explosives battle!
Round 5: Free For All, Knife fight on Shipment Cyco2oo3
Next Monday, Oct 20th, we will play Halo 3.

I also have Project Gotham Racing 4, but have yet to play it. Actually, I've hardly played Battlefront II, and never played online, but am willing. I should be getting Team Fortress 2 soon also. These are just some games to get you thinking. And I see no reason not to play Xbox Original games, as long as they're compatible with the 360.

Last night was fun, especially the no running/stun grenades/suicide-bomber/knife-fight!
All I have to say about last night was It was by far the best COD4 MVP event. We must do that again :D.

I'm not sure if there are 'New' MVP rules, but you should try and send out invites 24 to 48 hours in advance. I think that was one of the requirements for an event to qualify as a MVP event (excluding XBLA games).

It only says that you have to use the "Invite to Play" feature. It doesn't say how much in advance. I will try to be more considerate in the future though, as not all users frequest the forums. Sorry.

I don't remember which MVP thread it is in, but BlackCoyote had ask those who send out invites to send them out 24 - 48hrs in advance. I think it was shortly after he said he could not send out mass invites anymore.

I guess I am square then lol. I could never stand the Halo multi-player, unload two clips into the guy does not die but if you run up to him and melee him twice he's dead.
