World of Warcraft
I say, "Bah!" to the naysayers. I'm pumped about the upcoming expansion and have been doing some raiding with my Alliance guild on the Thunderhorn server. If anybody wants to give it a try, PM me your email addy and I'll send you a trial invite.

So we can add you to the list of the fallen?

I've actually been playing for a few years now. I haven't traded in the real world for it though. Wink

COD4 - Thanks to this game my backlong just got a whole lot bigger. Just somthing about this game that keeps me comming back to it when I know there are other games I need to finish.

I'm interested (and scared) to know what some of your guys' time totals with CoD4 online are at so far?  I'm proud of my self for breaking the one day mark for the multiplayer, heh.  I usually have a hard time sticking with any online game for more than 12-15 hours.  I have a friend that I give crap to as he approaches 15 total days worth of CoD4 online.  Good lord, that seems insane to me.  How common is this?!

I'm at 10 days. I've got someone on my friends list who just hit 24 days, and the only reason I keep him on my list is because it makes me feel better about myself. Smile

Player 2 and I picked up a renewed interest in Dungeon Runners. We both made new characters after picking up box copies and he is outpacing me in levels. That will change as in two days, he is back in school. We have also been playing Combat Arms together.

I have been putting a little time into Spectral Force 3. No where near as much as cheez.

Also, for about an hour before bed each night, I've been plowing through Final Fantasy IV DS. I'm impressed with how they took the SNES version, tossed it in a blender, and made a game that plays the same with new coolness and more useful characters. Prince Edward isn't baggage anymore. If they do this for 6... oh man!

Oh, and I've been getting my Gooze on with the MVP nights. I worked up to level 11 in Call of Duty 4 so that I could get a nametag.

@nick_gco: I'm not sure how Diablo and Titan Quest compare because I have not had the opportunity to play Titan Quest yet. But there is something to say when a game (Diablo) is the basis for a majority of the games that came after it. There are so many Diablo clones its too funny.

@anyone: How does one check the number of days they have spent on COD4?

You load up COD4, got to Leaderboards, then you should see your stats on the right side: Total XP, XP untill next level, Total Game Play.

I have also been playing Diablo 2... and it's getting me super pumped for D3.  I've also been playing Savage 2 for the PC (available through steam).

On the console front, I've been slugging through Condemned recently.

For portables, I am finishing up Trauma Center DS and Crisis Core.  I have a huge backlog of PSP games to play through and am going to start with Syphon Filter Dark Mirror.

As for WoW, I played since launch up until just a few months ago when I straight up quit.  It's been nice.  I picked up Age of Conan when it launched but recently quit that.  I would love to dedicate more time to AoC, but there are too many good games out to chain myself to one.

Just finished Assassin's Creed, ending was worse than Halo 2. What a horrible NON-ending/cliffhanger. After about 2/5 of the game, my main priority for beating the game was to find out what happens in the present with Desmond. Horribly let down.

Starting Splinter Cell: Double Agent but so far it seems awful. Like when a typical Hollywood film is made of your beloved franchise. The original game did a lot for me and was a pinnacle in my gaming life. Now the series seems so ridiculous and Sam Fisher actually got younger it seems.

These are just games I'm finishing up but I am eagerly anticipating Lego Batman and Little Big Planet. Hope to get my hands on SC4 someday too.

Chrono Trigger - This game takes me back since I had played it for the SNES back in the 90's, but I never thought that the game came out for the PSX, I am playing this because its one of my all-time favorite RPG's, not to mention the awesome anime scenes and I just enjoy the soundtrack.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune - Ever since they released trophies for this game, I definitely wanted to play it, and now that I am, not only is the game good but I get lots of trophies.

Red Faction: Guerilla BETA - When I found out about the beta I really wanted to play it, and now that I get the chance to, it is not a bad game, Red Faction was like the first game I had ever played when the PS2 was released. Now I get to play the third installment of the game (beta of course). Only on the Xbox 360.

Question, would FFIV for DS be a good starting point if I've never played a Final Fantasy since the NES days?  I'm trying to round out my gaming by experiencing other genres, RPGs (especially turn based/JRPG) I've really had a hard time getting into.  I know they are totally two different beasts, but Mass Effect was the first RPG type game I've finished.

I had similar feelings about AC as well.  Going through the reviews and other opinions on the game, they were all over the map, which I thought was pretty interesting.  My thoughts, I wish I could just play out all the assassination segments.  I felt like the game was about twice (or more) as long as it needed to be.  The game was gorgeous, and I loved the setting, and it controlled great, it just got too repetitive and the story just wasn't cutting it for me.  I am looking forward to AC2 to see what they can do though.

On a side note for butcher and the Red Faction beta, I'd love to hear more about it, if you can say anything at all I guess.  I'm really interested to see the final game.  I have alot of fond memories of the Red Faction sereies as well.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (Game of the Year Edition)

I use to own the original version of this game last year but the disc cracked on me and I didn't feel like replacing it as I figured I would wait for the inevitable rerelease which would include the expansion packs and thus I own it once again. The funny thing is I remember loving this game when I played it last year and although I still enjoy it, i'm not sure I would list it as my favourite 360 game anymore. I've been playing a male Imperial Avenger and have completed the main storyline, shivering isles storyline, knights of the nine storyline and just recently the fighters guild.

Max Payne

The first game I received through the Goozex service here and it definately has its cool cinematic moments but having not experienced the game when it was new I am afraid it didn't age too well with better similar games now out on shelves. I'll try my best to beat the game as there is definately some fun to be had with it.
