Madden NFL

EA just announced today that they will be only producing Madden's that have even numbers for the Gamecube.

thats good, then i won't need to buy a new console, oh well, i'll wait for next year then.

No Madden 09 for the PC is worse!  I looked forward to it every year, beating my friend who's a Browns fan.  We can't play on a console either because he has a XBOX and I have a PS3.

Considering he's in Texas and I'm in Ohio that's a little hard to do.

and the Wii Madden games were much better than the Gamecube games.

I just traded away Madden NFL 09 All-Play for Wii because it was awful.  The gameplay itself was pretty good, but the UI was inconsistent and heaven forbid you have a low battery in your remote--it would quit out of a game (not even playing online) if the remote turned itself off too much.

In unrelated news, I'm shopping for a copy of Madden NFL 08 for Gamecube.

You like GC but not Wii?  Well I have some good news: not only can Wii's play GC games, but you can even use you're GC controller for some Wii games. 

On top of that, if you like NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, TurboGrafx, N64 and a couple other older systems like that, you can buy games on your Wii for those systems too via virtual console. 

The graphics aren't much better on the Wii so it's not too different that way from the GC and the Wii has a lot of the same games as the GC (mario, fire emblem, zelda, metroid, etc. etc.).

And to top it all off, the Wii has new games coming out for it!  There are more online games for the Wii too.  It has an internet browser, bigger game discs that you won't actually eat because you mistook it for a shiny cheerio, and you can even create a cartoon look-alike version of yourself via the Mii Channel.

So all of that being said, just buy a 360.
