Hahaha yeah me too. I was Jesus, and me, Dr. Kakashi, and a friend of his made a bunch of skits for the people to be trick-or-treated. For example, in one, one of them purposely tripped and said "JESUS CHRIST" to which I walked out of the bushes and said "Yes, my son?"

Good times, good times. Awesome candy, too.

That is freaking awesome. It would have been even greater if someone was dressed up as "God" and you did a skit like in Family Guy when they some says "Oh my God", then he says "Jesus Christ".

 

Still, that's pretty funny.

Hey guys, I just really need your opinion on something.

I got my first ever negative feedback when I sent out a disk only game to a user. I sent it out on the 15th of October. It is now November 4th, and this would have been the last day to leave feedback, as it had been 3 weeks and no response from the user. Obviously, goozex was about to close the trade and provide a positive feedback score. Literally an hour ago, the user decides to leave a negative feedback, saying the disk was broken with cracks. 

I then send the user the following message:

"Are you completely sure that that the game I sent you was broken? I am not accusing you of anything, but I highly doubt that it would be destroyed during shipping. When did you receive the game, was it playable when you got it, and in what kind of packaging did you get it in? Forgive my skepticism, as this is my first ever negative feedback, and the method I use to send out games have never failed me before. In fact, I feel like I send them in an over protected state. Please respond as soon as possible so this matter can be resolved."

I just feel like this whole thing sounds incredibly fishy.

First off, he waits till literally the last minute to leave feedback. He never had messaged me previously asking where the game was, and I just assumed that since this was his first time receiving a game, that he was unfamiliar with the feedback system, and was going to leave feedback later or it was going to close anyway. I find it so odd to wait this long only to leave negative feedback. If the game really was broken, would't it be a more dire situation?

Second, the game I sent him was in perfect condition. I know it sounds idiotic to say that there was no way for a game that I sent to be broken, but as the message I sent him says, it was highly unlikely. For disk only games, not only do I use a padded bubble mailer, but a disk case as well. I've never had a problem using this method. 

 Obviously I've already messaged the user as fast humanly possible. I just wanted to ask if you guys would think this whole thing is weird. I think the user is being dishonest, and might have received the game prior, broke it himself, and then decided to leave a neg. Either that, or he's lying. I decided that making an entirely new thread for something like this is not really needed, goozex gets way too many of those on the forums.

 I'm unsure of this, but is it true that if a seller challenges a negative feedback for a broken or unplayable disk, then the buyer must send the game to goozex for testing? What if he broke it just to make me wrong? Ugh..... and to think, the NEW feedback system kicks in, in just two days...

I decided to give the user a full day and on the 6th I will contact goozex, any other suggestions that might help me in this situation?

I would definitely do what you're doing and wait a little longer before contacting goozex (who can most likely help you out). I had a trade in which the buyer said that the game was broken upon receiving, but he at least clearly said that it was the shipper's fault, not mine. Goozex reversed it, so I think they should reverse yours, even if yours is a little less simple than mine.

It sounds a bit fishy, but I wouldn't worry unless you don't hear anything else from him at all.

BTW, yeah Kameleon, that whole skit I gotta admit was ripped from Family Guy, but the others were at least somewhat original, haha.

Thanks for the feedback kirby, it's interresting to note that they reversed your feedback because of the shipping error. How long do you suggest I wait until I contact goozex (at this point, the user has still not responded).

I just got my first negative feedback too. The user said to mail it to an address different than what Goozex gave me. I already sent the game before he told me of the new address. He left feedback saying he can't play it. I asked him about the game and his address but he never answered back.

Ouch xplay that sucks...Wait if you shipped it to the wrong address, how would he know if the game broke? I would contact goozex...

And merc, I would definitely contact goozex now. I contacted them within about 2-3 days so I think you're pretty safe. If he does respond, there's nothing wrong with that, either.

im sry but if it was a first time user it seems really fishy...how many points was the game?

ive read other things across the fourms about ppl doing that b4 were they would make a account and then request for a trade to only give neg feedback...didnt know ppl would still do that to this community.

but even i would say just wait a little bit merc then let the admins know that the user didnt respond to u or how little they did about the issue.

P.s. bencheese... if u have noticed though the mvp is being changed is it not? right now its a more friendly jump on and play so just relax... we will still allways get to the topic of playing.

The user had responded saying he was on vacation, and couldn't leave feedback until the last day. I'm still suspicious, as this could have been made up.

I e-mailed goozex on the 7th, and they havn't gotten back to me yet (I assume this is because of the weekend, so I'm not worried). I'll update you guys on what they do.

And Bencheese, the MVP nights are being moved. The times we play at now are just purely for fun. The messages have stopped because of this, as no points are awarded.

The negative gives them back their trade credit and points.  Request another game, leave another feedback until you get banned.  Since they most likely got the trade credit and points for free, all it cost them was time (and reputation).

Exactly, there's no reward for them at all, it's just an endless cycle. Essentially, all they are doing is feeding of people's misfortune, and I really don't see why anyone would stoop that low.

Anyway, good news! Yesterday, goozex responded, saying that they have requested the user to send the game to their headquarters. Then, literally five minuntes later, they send another response saying:

"We took another closer look at the buyer and we have decided to reverse the 
negative feedback and adjust your feedback score."

After receiving this, I was so relieved. Then, I decided to look at what happened
to the user. I found that his account had been removed or disabled. Odd. If he
really was a scammer, how did goozex know or decide that his account needed
to be terminated?

All I know, is that this is a testiment to the overall goozex system.
I'd write them a long thank you letter back, but I don't want to clutter
their inbox.

That user either had a duplicate account with the same IP address and was either scamming people with it too or using it for good, or he had created another account previously with the same IP address and had scammed other people prior to this.

 

It's pretty sad that now that we're really just playing more for fun than for competition, I can't make it to the "MVP nights" for Brawl. With all the added stress of the semester almost ending and having to play catchup, I haven't really had the time to unwind with Brawl. Hopefully, I can make it this Friday for once, but don't expect me to go on tomorrow.
