Is there going to be a tourney today? I know it won't be for points (something about the points not coming in), but is there still going to be some playing for fun?

I didn't have to send out invite to play messages, right? I didn't see it in the new rules that it was required, so...am I blind, or what?

Well actually, I think it's safe to say that we don't have to send out the invites anymore. Since it's not for points, this is more of a get together rather than an MVP. Everyone just show up at the same times, on the same days, and we'll all  play for fun with whoever shows.

Hey I'm just curious, but I was thinking the other day that I'm probably not the only one who still uses the gamecube controller to play smash. I know alot of my friends just switched to wii mote + nunchuck, but what controls do you guys use?

Ok well...sorry about not sending them last time...Hopefully we get more people in future tournaments with the more relaxed system.

I personally religiously use the GC controller. Haven't even tried anything else, haha.

I use gamecube. Wiimote just doesn't work for me at all

after a few weeks of using the gamecube controller...i switched to the wiimote and nunchuck... a little bit better for me...dont like my hands so close when playing lol (im a roundish guy lol)

took me about 3 to 3 and a half weeks to really get used to it though...so be careful if u switched...could be hard :P

I personally use the GC controller. The first time I played it I used the Wiimote + nunchuck but it felt awkward. I also used the PS2 controller once, but it didn't feel right either (fyi, I have a PS2 controller to GC/XBox converter).

On a side note, anyone want to play on Thursdays. I don't really have anything to do since I don't have classes on Fridays and there's nothing good on TV (according to my tastes and channel variety). 8e/7c or 9e/8c would be nice, especially the latter.

 Interesting... Looks like the cube controller still reaigns supreme. As for playing on Thursday, I won't be able to make it this Thursday because I need to be somewhere. 

Remember guys, it's Wednesday, so if you can, please try to show up at 8 to play smash for fun, and keep the spirit alive. Hopefully I will see you guys there.

ohi is there a mvp because of halloween tonight or not. because if so is there a different time then usual most people will be out trick or treating.

The mvps are on both Wednesday and Friday at 8:00 EST.

As for tonight, the time will stay the same. If you can show up, show up. I myself will be trick or treating till about midnight.

Its nice to know that I'm not the only one still trick or treating this year.
