kirkman has constantly promised a huge change in the series at the fifty issue mark. and as much as he likes to hang twists and set ups at the endings of each issue i am feeling pretty certain that rick's death wasnt a fake out and what he meant by huge change was that carl would be becoming the new central character and focus of the story. at first i hated the idea. but the more i think about it the more i start to like it. what do you think?

Maybe it is just me, but for some reason his latest issues do not entice me to continue reading. Prior, I would read an issue and be like oh man...I have to wait for the next issue. Now it is just...read...oh that happened...okay.

If Rick does die, it would be pretty interesting to see what goes on. I would be totally surprised if that happened though, most main characters do not die unless there was another character that was talked about a lot. Was sad that Tyrese was killed... I kind of forgotten who Carl is. ^__^

--- Edit ---

Nvm to last sentence. I just read 47 and 48 again and did not know 49 was out.

I love the series but if he were to kill Rick off, I have to say I would probably stop reading. Even though it became an ensemble cast, the reason I have read this long was because of Rick(and previously, Tyrese) Without my two favorite characters, I wouldn't even be remotely interested.

Just too many likeable characters either killed off or ran off into the sunset and mysteriously didn't need the RV anymore I guess.

carl is rick's son btw. and who are all of the characters who rode off into the sunset and didnt need the rv anymore? if you dont even read the book or cant be bothered to know who the characters are then maybe you shouldnt be commenting or even bothering to read to begin with.

Wow, little snippy there? No need to be rude, we are all friends here.

As far as not knowing who the characters are, I know who all of the characters are, and I have read every issue from #1 forward, so I am not sure what you mean by not commenting because I don't read.

To address your comment about the RV, I was referring to  Dale, Andrea, Billy, Ben, Sophia, Glenn, and Maggie. Remember how they all took off in the RV?

I really thought that made sense and was a great idea in light of the events, but when Andrea came back alone in the RV that means that the rest of them are somewhere without transportation. I just didn't like the fact that she came back at all. In that type of situation, they all left to ensure the safety of those people, and for her to take the reliable means of safe transportation alone and come back into an unknown situation, also considering she was best suited to protect that specific group, was a huge mistake.

I am not saying I did not like issues 1-49. I am just saying the most recent issues have disappointed me more than just a little.

Agreed, the comment was rude. Just because I'm not a die hard fan does not mean I am illterate. The last few issues were just not enjoyable when compared to the beginning issues. Oh well.

the fact that you write illiterate as iltrate and/or the fact that you wiki a wrong list of characters who supposedly escaped with the RV after you claimed the same characters ran off and didnt need the rv any more is pretty funny. this is also the fake leaked plot synopsis for the entire series that gets circulated on comics boards and gets thrown around by folks who dont actually read any comics but love posting/complaining about them like the experts they love to think that they are. carl is in the top five list of central characters to the series-not having any clue who he is without having to look it up on phony spoiler sites is pretty so;id proof that you dont really follow the book. and andrea returned solo on foot without the rv by the way. you really dont read the comic and just read the unreliable wiki synopsis of the issues plots which are usually wrong and really dont make you qualified to have a real opinion of the series because they usually dont match up with what actually happens in the book. i guess i am rude for pointing these things out and not really giving much weight to your opinions of the series because of them.

 Wow, just Wow.

I am now beginning to think you don't even read this book.

Let me speak slowly, since you seem to have reading comprehension issues.

1. The characters I listed left in the RV. Ben and Billy are the twins. Sophia is Carl's little girl friend. Maggie and Glenn are the newly married couple, and Andrea and Dale are the young girl/older man couple. Those were the people who left in the RV. I even have a scan of that page for proof if you require it. If you have issue 45 it is on page 12.

2. Andrea came back, ALONE, in the RV. She stood atop it and fired at the Gov and his band of merrymakers. He then orders one of his cronies to ram the RV. Since she was alone in the RV that means the rest of the characters mentioned above who LEFT in the RV were dropped off somewhere. This is in issue 47, pages 16-18. Once again I also have scans of these pages.

There was no Wiki involved here. I have every single issue and I have scanned them all into my PC, so that I can reread them without having to pull out the book.

This was not a "fake" plot, unless they sold issues 45-48 in the stores as "fake" issues.

Also, I am not sure where you got the idea that I did not know who Carl was. I have known who Carl was since he was introduced to the story.

I am sorry to have to call you out on this, but since you are being an ass, it does make it a bit easier. You are WRONG. I am not sure if you are wrong because you are willfully ignorant or because you are lying, but either way it does not change the fact that you are wrong.

You might want to go back and reread the series you so claim to love, seems you missed a few things along the way.

Not that I can add much to the discussion, since Coras provided the pages and issues that supports what was stated. Just wanted to pop in and say, Coras, he was targetting me for forgetting who Carl was. And whoopie doo da, comic, I spelled illiterate wrong by typing fast. Can you spell solid? I don't remember there being a semi-colon in the word. Yea, makes no sense does it? Sheesh.

Sorry, but this thread is pretty stupid now. You asked for our opinions, we give you what we thought, and you get up in our face because we don't see the storyline the same way you see it? Grow up. If you don't want opinions, don't ask for them.
