rafa nadal tennis for the nintendo ds. its currently 450 points and gamestop has it for $9.99. it shouldbe 100-200 points

Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 (PSP) retail for $17.99 used at Gamestop, yet it's still at 600 points with 5 available to be traded and no requests. It should go down to at least 400 points.

Tomb Raider Legend (360) at Gamestop for $14.99 used, yet it's 450 here even though there is over 50 available to be traded now and no requests. It should be 350.

Dead Rising at Gamestop for $17.99 used, Goozex just raised the points on this to 600 once again over 50 available copies. It should be at 400 right now.

WOW, there's more to prcing than how many copies are (available).  Look at how many (are being traded at that time).  There's 12 for dead rising right now.  Which means a lot of people still want to buy it.

WOW, there's more to prcing than how many copies are (available).  Look at how many (are being traded at that time).  There's 12 for dead rising right now.  Which means a lot of people still want to buy it.

Oh wow 12!!! Too bad there is still 52 available and nobody requesting it. Maybe if there were only 2 copies available and nobody requesting it, you might have a legit argument. Last time I checked that means there is more product than actual demand, so the supply and demand theory dictates that price should go DOWN. The fact is that the price is going UP when there is more supply than demand. Just because there are some trades active that doesn't change the fact that there is still more supply than actual demand.

Not every game is going to or should be expected to have a 1-to-1 ratio of offers to requests. If there are 12 copies trading (let's assume for the sake of example that 12 is our weekly number of trades for the game) and 52 people are waiting to trade it, that means that anyone who wants to send out Dead Rising will be matched for it within 5 weeks. That would be a perfectly fine timeframe for many people. (Note again: this is an example, not fact.)

Obviously I don't know exactly how the price-changing formula works, but perhaps active trades is part of it?  This seems like it would be a logical thing to include.

Thank you.  It's kind of common sense, otherwise almost every game would be down in price.  Active trades would have something to do with it.

anyone can put up a game for 100 bucks . it dont mean its going to sell

I could list   NBA live 2001  for the ps1   for 100 bucks  does that mean the game is worth 1000 pts 

would of bee nice to knew  Rafa Nadal Tennis was 9.99 at  eb games last week when there was a  25% off coupon. I would of tried it for  7.50  ... 10 bucks is too much   : )

cool, just checked my email and saw that Goozex gave me an update on price changes.. Now that is wicked cool. Thx guys. OH and thx for the explanation within the e-mail about exactly how the price changes work...  

The point change is due to any combination of variables in our algorithm including:

1. Supply & Demand has changed
2. The game's age is past a certain date of release
3. The game's resale market value has changed

No action is required on your side. Goozex will continue seeking a trade for your game(s), at the current point value. Please visit your Requests List to find the trade options available to you. You can also edit your preferences to stop receiving these emails.

Now since I understand, I am at peace :)

Current Points: 300

Amazon.com: Starting Price  $39.98

I think it should be at least 650 points.

And Chocobo's Dungeon 2 still hasn't increased in points, the complete game starts at around $30 and disc only starts at about $17. It should probably be 500 points.

Amazon is not the end all be all.  Prices are also evaluated from Ebay, Gamestop and other retailers.  And then the prices are looked at together and the average price is what helps determine what the game will be valued at.

Alright, some other goodies I just found browsing the REALLY long list, lol. Just trying to do my part as best I can :)

Wild Arms 2
Platform: PSX
Goozex: 100 points

Gamestop: They don't sell used PSX games.
Amazon: $22.00
Half.com: $34.00

This seems like a classic game that is way underpriced, especially since not many available and a HUGE demand for it. Good luck to those who have it.

Metal Gear Solid
Platform: PSX
Goozex: 200 points

Gamestop: Nope
Amazon: $11.49
Half.com: $13.99 

Just a bit higher in points, then again I maybe wrong. It has been traded a TON of times and a few trades were going on when I last checked.

Metal Gear Solid 2: Subsistence
Platform: PS2
Goozex:  400 points

Gamestop: $19.99
Amazon: $16.00

Now just a question about this. It's priced fine to me, but would it receive a little increase because of the demand is greater than the supply in this manner? Valkyrie Profile is around $20 used in stores and 500 points on Goozex here, which is quite alright because there is more demand than supply. Just a note, that's all.

I understand to keep track of this isn't easy. I mean over 7500+ titles. That's definitely a HUGE list to keep in control and in constant change from the demand of the market, price changes and the such. Nothing's ever perfect, but the fact that you are working hard to provide us with this AWESOME service is more than enough.

I would like to give my thanks to Entire Goozex Team for all their Hard work in providing us game traders with a FAIR and JUST system that gives us a chance to save money and give back to others.

Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes

Amazon.com price: $45.00

This game is way underpriced on Goozex and has 70+ requests with no sellers. I think it should be increased to 900 points to reflect its rarity and encourage selling.

Another rare game that should be raised to 500 points. A bunch of requests and no sellers.

Pokemon Box

Goozex points: 300

This game is ultra-rare and can retail for $100+. Point value should be raised to 1000 points.

Blast Works, Wii, 600 points. Amazon $19.99. Buy.com, $19.99, Gamestop, $19.99 new, $17.99 used. I REALLY want to get rid of this, but there are 42 offers ready, and 0 requests ready.  Maybe people will request it for 400.
