Mass Effect is only 20 bucks used on gamefly.com

It should be 400 points

I do agree to some extent.  But most people don't look at gamefly's prices and look at amazon's and gamestop's.  Gamestop's is $30 used.  Amazon is $20 used.  I do think it should go to 600 or 550, which it may soon.  It also has other factors like Supply and Demand.  and lots of people are still getting this game.

so then i can exploit the site by buying games and making money from them on here haha its over priced when i can buy it in stores alot 15 dollars cheaper

100 points = 5 Bucks

650 points = $35

Mass Effect 24.99

Assassins Creed 17.99

I can buy these games from a site where my game is guaranteed to work for alot cheaper then what i can get them for on here.

I would really like to use this site because it is a cool community and i can get something for my games.  But the fact that i can get these games for ALOT less money from a very reliable store is what is keeping me away.

Premiun i agree that is has to do with supply and demand but i can still get the game alot cheaper.  I think someone can trade a game and get 35 dollars worth of points for a game they could buy for 20 dollars.

I could go buy two copies of mass effect and trade then and make 20 dollars extra credit

Assassins Creed might even be a bigger rip off since i can get that for 17.99 and i think some stores you can get it on clearance even cheaper than that.  This game is still 650 points which is almost double what the game is worth. That should be 400 points for sure because there are 300 of them available for trade and noone wants them because they can buy the game for alot cheaper

then buy it in stores.  as I said in another thread.  Amazon has Mass Effect new for $40.  used copies range from $25 to $30 shipped.  Gamestop is $30 used.  And Gamefly now has the game for $25 plus tax, so your whole arguement of it being $20 is one big epic fail.  the $20 price disappeared a couple weeks back.

650 = $32.50, so it's not that much of a price jump.  I use goozex to get a lot of games on the cheap, and I also buy games elsewhere when I know I can get them cheaper as well.  To bash a site, you don't regularly use because some games you want are a bit higher than for what you can get them elsewhere is ridiculous and without merit.

Not too mention, there are 15 trades going on now, and 102 people actively requesting it (but don't have the points, trade credits or slot open to get it right now).  You can always request it and put it on hold until it goes cheaper.

Goozex does not normally take into account Gamefly prices, and tend to utilize Amazon, Ebay and Gamestop to determine what the price should be.  Normally their database Muze are supposed to indicate price drops, but if its not updated, they will manually drop the price.  And price drops go up/down in 50 point increments, and not all at once.

well think about this way if your a seller and trade your game away you would only get like $5 or less from gamestop so instead you are getting like $30 worth of points which you can use to buy other games that are priced appropriately, its actually a good price range for it and like g-nitro stated they drop in 50 point incriments which means it'll probably be like 600 points in a week or two. Also it is guarantted to work or recieve it through the goozex guarante which if you don't get it or it is unplayable you can get your points back along with your trade credit and placed back in line in the spot you were matched at.

You are forgetting that rare games are often found cheap on goozex. My last trade was for Chocobo Racing which is 200 points and the game is worth $30 on amazon = 600 points. The seller gave me a SEALED copy of the game which is worth $100! Let this be a lesson to all of you that goozex has the potential to be great.

Game: Fire Emblem

Platform: GBA

Goozex Points: 300

Suggested Points: 800+

Lowest Amazon price (with manual/instructions): $50 [goes for $140+ sealed]

http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00009WAUL?ie=UTF8&shipPromoFilter=0&startIndex=0&sort=sip&me=&condition=used

[Unfortunately, the cart-only prices are substantially lower, as with many rare games.]

Raising Gameboy Advance games to that sort of value would be a great way to kill the trading of these games.  Most people only want cartridge only for their GBA games in the first place, the boxes are so flimsy there's hardly any point in keeping them.  They don't do anything close to a decent job of storing the game.

Just would like to give my thanks to the Goozex staff for such and awesome site. And the opportunity to help improve as best they can.

Here is one of my suggestions:

Game: Dragon Quest 8
Goozex Points: 300
Platform: Playstation 2

Optional
Gamestop.com: $12.99
Amazon: $10.43

It is interesting, I was debating on whether to get this a few weeks back when it was worth 250pts, as I didn't know the actual retail and used price for it. Once I found out the price, I went to try to collect to find it got bumped more points. Just found it a bit odd. It's $20 New, but surprisingly Gamestop has it a lot lower than $15.

I'm just curious on the slight price increase. From my understanding on the trading stats, it seems the supply and demand is just about equal. Maybe a need some help in understanding on how that factors in.

Thx guys.

There are certainly other factors that come into play. There is Gamestop's new and used price, as well as Amazon's, other retailers', etc. There is also the volume of trades as well as how long each of the requests and offers have been there. If most of the offers are new, the price will adjust down. The opposite effect with happen if most of the requests are new.

Additionally, there are factors that Goozex can't reveal because they are trade secrets (i.e. the "secret" to what makes Goozex work so well).
