Star Wars Best of PC:

http://www.goozex.com/trading/asp/itemdetail.asp?item=37721

It's only 350 points. Knights of the old Republic is 200 points, Republic Commando is 250 points, Empire at War is 150 points, Battlefront is 100 points, Jedi Outcast is 100 points. It also includes a trial of Star Wars: Galaxies. All games are 800 points. I do realize that this is a compilation and should not be as much as the total, but 350 points is ridiculous. Republic Commando ALONE is only 100 points less than the whole compilation. It's pretty self-explanatory why this game isn't traded too much. I think it should be AT LEAST 500 points.

Here's Amazon's price - $38.99

http://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Republic-Battlefront-Commando/dp/B000HVTEX6/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1218424846&sr=8-1

And Best Buy - $39.99

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8155328&st=best+of+pc&lp=1&type=product&cp=1&id=1161734156634

It's got 5 (6 including Galaxies) full, awesome games and I'm really going to trade it away for only 350 points.

I am pretty sure there is no problem trading games on here that are marked no resale.  If you search through the threads I remember seeing one recently talking about games marked as no resale.

Yeah, actually the "Not For Resale" is much like "Not labeled for individual sale" meaning that retailers can't remove the games from bundle packs and sell them individually. It doesn't mean, for instance that you can't resell/retrade the game on your own. Once you buy it, it's yours. Just like you can find many Not for Resale games in Gamestop or on eBay, so it's totally fine to trade them on Goozex :)

Trust us on this one.

That's exactly what it's for.  There's a lot of shady retailers out there.  Remember when the Wii first came out and a bunch of stores were trying to force you to buy bundled material along with the system without advertising it?  Yeah, that's illegal, but non-gaming stores either don't know it's illegal, or they like the act like they don't know.  Those kind of labels are there to prevent any shady types from scamming you.  This is a technique that goes WAY back, I remember being five and wondering why I had a copy of the original Sonic the Hedgehog that had a huge "NOT FOR RESALE" subtitle on the label.

I remember getting MY first system for my birthday when I was about 6 and it was the Sega Genesis Model 2. It came bundled with the Origional Sonic The Hedgehog and Ranger-X both having "NOT FOR RESALE" banner across the bottom of the package. I also got a Turbo Pad that had 6 buttons and a Turbo one :)

Okami (Wii) has dropped 100 points the past month, from 700 to 600.

However, the backlog for Okami requesters is very long and supply is short.  I'm 46 in line and I've requested this game (game disc only) for the past 6 months.

I think Okami's points should go back up to 700 or even 750 so that people have the incentive to trade this game.

Alundra 2 for PS1 seems to be stuck at 100 points, despite a requests list a mile long, and no offers. At this rate, it will take four years to just clear out the active requests. I'm going to suggest 200 points here.

Game: Half Life
Goozex Points: 150= $7.50
Platform: PS2

Gamestop: $11.99 Used

It should be at 200 poinys. There a descent waiting list. Maybe the price went up more people will be willing to trade it.

Game: Burnout Paradise
Goozex Points: 1,000=$50.00
Platform: PS3

Gamestop: $29.99 NEW
Amazon: $29.99 NEW

The most it should be is 600 points

Again, another post about Burnout paradise yet it still remains at 1000 pts for the PS3. It is not a secret that this has go down to $29.99. The price drop started 3rd week of July when it dropped to $39.99, then dropped again on the 1st week of August to $29.99 but it has yet to drop even by 50pts on Goozex. There are currently 9 ready to trade and their not gonna move unless it drops from 1000 pts.

Hey everyone,

We are aware of the recent price drops for Burnout, Orange Box and Vegas 2.  The culprit is that our service provider, Muze, has not updated the database with the price drops.  We have gone ahead and forced the change.  Because of the sensitivity of our database the price changes occur weekly on a 50 point basis.

Hope this helps answer any questions about these specific games.

I have also been working with Goomba478 about adjusting point prices and he has been very gracious to collect all the information we need and sending it to me.  I really can't thank him enough for the help he has provided!

The ability to only drop a game by 50 pts a week is not good.

Just look at the PS3 greatest hits. Take Resistance, it is now $29.99 By the time it makes it to 600 pts from 1000 it will take well over a month. It was at 800 points at the beginning of Aug. (2 weeks 50 pts fdrop)

There are 42 available with no requests.

So if I had Resistance, I wouldn't be able to trade it ( Esp since most people knew about the upcoming price drops back in June- so the game wasn't moving at 1000)

If I wanted Resistance, I wouldn't want to "overpay" instead I know have to wait untilt the clunky system gets the game to the proper point value.

...except there are 10 trades going on right now for Resistance, so obviously people are willing to pay the current price.  I think decreasing prices quickly would be a bad idea.  It already sucks if you get a game from Goozex and then the retail price drops, but at least now you'll probably have a chance to trade it before the price bottoms out.

If prices went way down (or up) immediately, I guarantee you'd be seeing a lot more complaints from people who felt like they're getting ripped off.  Changing values by only 50 points per week mitigates this feeling somewhat, so the changes aren't as drastic.  Part of using Goozex is patience, especially if you wait until you can get the "best deal" on everything.
