I am wondering if Gears of War is going to come down in price.  It is still listed at 450.  And there are 200 active and over 330 (on hold) copies ready for trade and only like 20 or so people that have it (on hold) requesting it.  Shouldn't the price be lowered since there is now a sequel out and more than enough demand? The price hasn't went down at all.

450 points translates to 27 dollars. The game is $26.99 used at GameStop. So based on that, it is dead on. Soon it should be a $20 game though, have to wait for M$ to drop it though.

I thought that Goozex came up with their own prices for games?  Not just what Gamestop was doing.  Otherwise I wouldn't have bothered to join this site in the first place.

According to their own FAQ, the description of What are Goozex Points and how are they calculated it says: Goozex dynamically adapts prices depending on supply and demand for each game. This makes sure that if you offer a game that is highly requested, you earn a higher value for it.

I hope they are acutally following their own guidelines and will change the value of this game.  530 offers to 20 requests means that this price should have dropped a lot more by now.

With 432 ready supply and 0 demand. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance (360) should be like 50 points by now.

Burnout Paradise's price recently dropped again from 250 to 200 points.

There is a high demand for Paradise (185 active requests as of this post) and 0 supply. The price needs to be raised a few hundred points.

I don't really post here, because I'm not even sure if the admin's look at it, but here goes.

Game: Bioshock for PS3

Point Value Currently: 900 points.

Desired Point Value: 1000 points.

Reason: Bioshock for the PS3 is pretty new, and has lots of requests; it hasn't "turned the corner yet" (more supply than demand). It is still highly requested, so there's no reason it shouldn't be 1000 points, like every other new release.

On average, it seems that the points are somewhere in the neighborhood of the used price.     Some closer than others, so I'm sure it does account for demand some as well, but in the neighborhood for the most part.    The big advantage to this vs gamespot is that you actually get full value when you trade in your game rather than selling it for a fraction of that.

Somebody should make a thread to discuss the points algorithm in general instead of mixing it in these 50-100 point mini-suggestions.

People won't trade this game for 900 points right now, so why would the points drop?

Hey Now I have a game that is only listed as 100 points and should be ALOT more. Lego Star Wars the Complete Saga for the XBox 360 is only listed as 100 points. If its a combination of both Lego Star Wars 1 and Lego Star Wars  2 plus added content then Why is Lego Star Wars 2 for the 360 worth 300 points alone? It shouId be a higher point value than the 300 point game that is less than half the game. I know that it averages to about 25 dollars new from Half.com but its not an easy game to find in the store and right now there is 135 people wanting to receive this game and it isnt sent out much at all because the point values are probably so low and it should be raised.

What about allow trader senders/seller to low points price to encorge a faster trade? For Example I have a that is currently set as 150 points  with a lot of availibllity to buyers. I would be interstead in lowing to 100 points to get the trade. Is there a way to do that, I have not found it?

That's the thing, there's 39 people who want to trade the game for 900 points. And no one wants to buy the game at 900 points. If it lowers, then more people will be interested.

This should change. But don't worry, it's a bunch of new users who want the game, I'm sure. If it gets bumped up, then you'll see the number of active buyers go down a bit.

That wouldn't  be fair. If Best Buy is selling Fallout 3 for $60 and I go in front of the store with 15 copies and sell them for $40, you really think that'd be ok? It'd be unfair to the users who are waiting in line to sell the game.

I know its not a popular game and the re-release to DS probably lowered it some, but I figure it can't hurt to ask-

Game: Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure

Platform: Playstation

Generally seems to Ebay around $20. Sold price goes from $17 to $35.

Amazon.com lowest $21.48
