Are games that are priced the same as or more than new on goozex normally changed?

It depends on the game.  Newer games that have a high trade volume (several "trades going on now") and/or lots of active requests tend to float around or even above the MSRP, especially if it's a game that's only recently dropped down in price.  Eventually the Goozex value will drop, but as long as people are willing to request it at the current price it can remain stable for a while.

In any case, the system should automatically take care of price drops without posting in this thread.  Usually, the only time they manually adjust prices is in the case of games that are way under- or over- prices due to collectibility or some other factor.

Game: StarFox Assault
Goozex Points: 150
Platform: Nintendo Gamecube

Optional
Half.com: $23.96

Gamestop: $14.99

Possibly, 350 to 400 pts. Thx again.

Oh and if anyone is wondering, Goomba's Link is here for suggested point prices. Thanks again Goomba, just a note, I put in that suggestion but under Nintendo Wi, there wasn't a Gamecube selection for it. Thx again.

I didn't forget. For now just list Gamecube games as Wii games. I am only doing one major update per month because I don't want to overdo it for the requests/updates for the Goozex team. Also, just so you guys know. The Goozex team pointed out that games that are 5-10 off their store counterparts are generally not big enough a difference to manually update. These games will generally be worked out automatically as the demand changes for the games.

Games with more than $10+ are more what we're looking for. Thanks guys!

Roger and Wilco, thanks again for all your efforts Goomba and Goozex team.
BTW, how long did it take to know PHP? Been wanting to learn it, just don't know how to go about using it :)

Oh...and man, for $50 month for games, you amassed quite a collection. Especially since, you traded 228 for double that, at least 448 received... man that's sweet. May I ask how you were able to do that? All new games traded after play?

Very Impressive, just like BlackCoyote and Magiic, just amazing, didn't know we could go through all those games. I'm mentioning this only because I wish I had most of my titles moving so I could grab some games I missed before. I can wait for the newer titles to drop in price :)

Again, GOOZEX YOU ROCK....Added note GOOMBA as well :) (and so everyone else doesn't feel left out - YOU ROCK)

Good news people, I have officially added Nintendo Gamecube to the list of systems :) So I think I've got them all now.

To answer your question bytemap: I'm not exactly an expert in PHP but I've been using it on and off for about two or three years now. I just learned mostly from a great website called Tizag.com (they have lots of great tutorials and such) and I read a few books and things, but most of what I learned, I learned online. The best way to really learn is to just decide a project in your head and go with the flow until it's done. At least, that's how I learn :)

Thank you thank you and good luck with everything!

Sincerely,
JJ Parks ^_^

I have a question that bugged me since I started on Goozex...

Well, I personally own an old Nintendo Entertainment System with a good majority of games and I have a friend who owns a Super Nintendo with a trunk full of games under his bed...now my question is, why isn't there a way on here to trade old NES or SNES games...(or others) to other gamers? Is this ever going to happen or is it not possible for some reason?

Also, I know its in the best interest of you guys, but when you buy points, why is there not just 50 Goozex Points available to purchase instead of having to buy a whole 100 for a game you might just need an extra 50 for?....Just a thought. =D

Two requests (from somebody with zero authority):

1.  Please ask unrelated questions in a new thread (it's the respectful thing)

2.  Please don't ask that first question until you use the search box.  It's already been asked and answered ad nauseum.

Thank you

If you need some help, Goomba, I've been picking up PHP myself.  I'll be taking a variety of web design classes going over things like CSS, Flash, Javascript, and PHP.

Game values can fluctuate by 50 points every week, so unless values are way off the market value (usually by 500 points or so) it's very unlikely that they'll be manually changed by Goozex.  If you're unhappy with the current Goozex value of a game in the future, you can wait until it goes up, or try and sell it on one of the many other sites when you can set your own price.

Well it's understandable that the big differenced games are taken care of first. But everyone has obviously broken games in their lists. The main purpose of this is to trade off games you don't want anymore.

It doesn't matter if the game is set at 200 forever, it should ultimately go to 100 so it can be traded off. The Unreal example I listed is not doing that. Same with COD2, that will never trade at like 350 or whatever it is.

And as for most PC games at 100 is kind of ridiculous as it's cheaper to buy the points AND keep your game than trading it for 100, I've still mailed some out because I couldn't justify just throwing them away but I don't see most people taking a loss to get games.

Yeah me and a friend figured that out. If our 100 point games are worth basically 5 bucks and it is costing us more than that to send them off...we feel like we are getting scammed a little.
