If you have a lot of games in your library, how do you keep track of any change in the turns to go number?

The beauty of Goozex is the automation. You don't need to keep track of your place in line because when you are ready to be matched, the system will do it and inform you.

Also, your place in line can be deceptive. As mentioned in other threads, many factors can combine to boost the speed of your matches.

I do actually track some games to see how fast I'm moving, just to get an idea of how long it might be before I'm matched. I know that's a bit weird though.

If you want to see how many are actually active, go look at the trade info page. It gives you a better idea of the reality.

I'm going to have to agree with what Timpy said. Just let the Goozex monster do it's thing. For example I believe I was 12th in line to trade Puzzle Quest and then BAM! mine was up for trading. Sometimes it can come out of left field. Jut let it do it's own thing.

I tried watching the queue for different games when I first joined.  I was also trying to predict when I would be matched, and I was wrong every single time. It's always some game that I'm 50th place in line for that I never expected. There are so many factors involved on both the seller and buyer end that it's hard to judge. The only piece of data that really has any relevance to me anymore is how many total copies of the game (active/ready/hold) are being offered.

TL;DR: I agree with Timpy-san and the Hippie. Let Goozex do the work. Big Smile

I tend to do what Allyson says - I check the queue and trade info.  That gives you some ideas about potential timing based on number of turns and 'cycle time'.

While I will sometimes check queue and trade info, I dont take the numbers to seriously. More then once I have been matched up for a game that I am 30-40th in line for.

I have only recieved two games, but the second one was a shock to me. I was 87th in line for the game and I was matched. Your place in line really has little to do with a match. I will not say it has nothing to do with it; restrictions on the places in front of you probably have more to do with it than anything. If the first 50 people in line do not have enough points, and the next 20 people in line do not have an open trade slot - then Goozex will match it to the 71st person in line.

Your place in line would only matter if everyone in line ahead of you had an open slot and the points for the game, but I am just repeating myself now. So go ahead and put the game you are 95th in line for in your active request list and make sure you have an open slot and the points as to avoid being put on the restricted list and you will have your game in no time at all.

I feel for the OP, as while I live on Goozex and monitor my line changes, it'd be nice to know 'This week Game X moved 4 positions in line' and so forth.

I really don't see how a family photo is relevant here.

Place in line matters but not as much as you would think. I just got matched for Left for Dead which had a Long wait on it but since its a 1000 point game and most users didnt have enough points for it I got matched to it. I also had Baroque to offer and it sat with 3 trades to go for a month with no movement  before I was first in line and then all 3 games went within 2 days so you really never know but looking at your place in line every so often can give you a feel as to how long it will take if you are shooting for something in particular.

Before I realized this was a year-old necro ... I was getting all misty and sentimental ...

well, would you look at that - it is a year old .....what to do?  what to do? ...... Oh-well,  not anymore.

Forgive me, I'm new - and slow.  Maybe I just wasn't paying attention.  Although the point I made was valid, I just need to work on my timing.

All-in-all, I do think it was cool I was matched with my game from 87th place.
