Does the wireless guitar for guitar hero 3 work with the rock band game?

For the Xbox 360, yes the GH3 guitar works on Rock Band.

For the PS3 versions of the games and controller it does not.

Someone please correct me if my info is outdated.

At the moment they are incompatible with each other.

the 360 ones always were it was a pretty big deal before they came out.....but it does make rockband wayyyy too easy with the gh3 guitar...or its the fact that the rockband guitar is a complete waste of money and is trash.....lol im debating selling the thing and buying another wireless gh3 guitar

So, what was this issue Activision and Harmonix (I think them) were having with the compatibility of guitars with Guitar Hero 3 and Rockband? Because, I from the issue between those two, I heard that Nyko was going to make a GH3/RB compatible guitar.

Harmonix made a patch that would allow GH3 controllers to work on Rock Band for PS3, but Activision cockblocked them and won't let Sony release the patch until Harmonix/MTV pays Activision royalties or something for letting Activision's controller work on Harmonix's game.  Activision is the new EA.

I looooooove the Les Paul on RockBand. Just great. I sold the Stratocaster a week after I got the package. Pulled in $50, which was nice. Now I use the Les Paul as my guitar and an old Xplorer as a bass when a friend is around.
