With the next gen systems being out for a bit now what playstation 2, game cube, and xbox games are hitting the bargain bins. my question is: what games do you guys look for? Whether it is for trading or a personal collection.
My girlfriend and I hit game stop every pay day to check out the cheap games. we usually go for two player game cube games. we recently bought a couple of the games from the Tak series (which to my surprise were actually really fun).
I honestly cannot remember the last time I actually bought a game from a store. Actually I can, it was Final Fantasy I for the PSP which I traded away in December.
I like to use Goozex to get some of the games I missed the first time around for GC, PS2 and XBOX. I don't think I'll be able to do this much longer as I have quite the backlog and there are a lot of 360 & PS3 games I would like to play. I'll probably wait until some of the newer games get a bit older before I make the active in my trade queue, that's my bargain bin.

I go looking for coop games and games with good stories. At least those are the criterias I look for first. I can tolerate a majority of games, so that works in my favor. The only ones I do not really pick up, are the yearly sport releases. For those, they have to have something special or a 99 cent price tag. ^__^
lol i stay away from the ultra cheap sports titles as well.
Honestly, I just look for games that look fun and appealing to me. Sometimes if a game gets really good reviews ill check it out if I wasn't previously interested in it..
I like a broad range of games too. Shooters, RTS, RPGs & JRPGs, Racing, some sports, puzzle, some action/platformer, music/rythm games... Honestly the only kind of games I dont like is the sucky ones (ie. Two Worlds) :P and things like barbie and cartoon based video games....
I use this place to trade for Dreamcast games.
If I'm at the store, attractive covers usually get my eye first, then I read the back and if it looks THAT good then I get it (Almost never). Online, I read reviews and watch the gameplay on youtube.

I like to consider myself an equal oppurtunity gamer. I play just about anything, as long as it's fun. Storyline can also play a big part, usually only when it's an RPG. Other than that though if it's fun I'll give it the good old college try.
